Twitter is testing new option to remove specific followers

Twitter is following in the steps of Instagram and testing a way for users to remove specific followers from their followers list. Currently, the only way for users to remove people from following them on Twitter is to block and unblock them. The new option will give users and brands more control over their audience on the platform, as well as potentially improving Twitter outreach by ensuring they’re reaching the right people with tweets, and refining follower lookalike targeting within the Twitter ads process.

Instagram adds new anti-abuse features

Instagram has added new anti-abuse features to help users - particularly those who have large followings - manage their interactions and avoid offensive comments and messages. The updates include a new Limits option, which enables users to temporarily limit unwanted comments and messages from selected groups in-app, as well as improving its warnings on comments that may be deemed offensive.

Instagram adds new ‘Audio’ search option to boost Reels engagement

Users can now search for specific audio within the search tab of the Instagram app, making it easier to tap into trends and discover new Reels. The feature is already popular over on TikTok, where users can discover videos based on specific audio via its Sounds tab, and yet again shows Instagram’s commitment to developing and prioritising Reels on its platform.

LinkedIn adds native video meetings

LinkedIn has officially rolled out its new, native video option which allows its users to have video meetings within its messaging platform without the need for third-party video providers. LinkedIn says the new feature is an effort to “drive the productivity of our members end to end… By adding video conferencing as a part of the messaging experience, members can connect virtually while maintaining the context of their existing conversation.”

LinkedIn adds reviews and ratings for profiles with listed services

LinkedIn is adding a new review feature to its services listings on professionals’ profiles. Past clients and customers will now be able to leave reviews of SMBs’ and freelancers’ work, which can be displayed within their services listings, providing another way for them to highlight the quality of their professional skills.
